Macy's, Target and more offer gift wrapping to save you time, stress and paper cuts. Gift-wrapped items come in a Walmart branded gift box, which in the past was a blue gift box with a white ribbon. That's why, especially if you're mailing gifts to your gift recipients, taking advantage of the store's gift wrapping service makes a lot of sense, both financially and time-wise. Reuse the page of an old book by cutting out the shape of a Christmas tree, snowflake or reindeer to stick it to your gifts.
Wrap your gifts in plain kraft paper and then cut out large, multi-colored polka dots to make a gift worth placing under any tree. Not only is the result eco-friendly, but, as gift wrap designer Jenn Playford points out, when you take off your brooch and take off your shirt, you get three gifts in one. Amazon offers gift wrapping, a box or bag suitable for the item, a decorative ribbon and a card printed with your gift message for most items managed by Amazon, and assistant editor Maxine Builder was “pleasantly surprised at how good it looked when I opened the cardboard box.
